This five hour work shop will take place over three days to apply the strategy of segmenting so the participants will not be subject to cognitive overload. Each hour and forty minute session will deliver the pieces needed to create a complete and effective online course. Day 1 Introduction- The Advantages of Online Learning
activities- online terminology, choosing a course of study, designing instruction. Day 2 Creating the Course
activities: Creating the syllabus, outcomes, expectations, and start creating lessons and discussion in the course. Day 3 Assessment and wrap up
activities: Rubrics, grading and linking to the wiki
The participants will receive a graphic organizer of the workshop which will include space for notes.
